Last year, Mayo Clinic cared for 1.3 million patients from more than 130 countries.
These patients came to Mayo Clinic because of the organization’s unwavering dedication to quality and the unparalleled, compassionate care they knew they would receive from Mayo’s staff. This commitment was reinforced when U.S. News & World Report released its 2024-2025 "Best Hospitals" rankings.
Mayo Clinic continues to be top-ranked in more specialties than any other hospital. Mayo Clinic in Rochester and Arizona are again recognized on the Honor Roll; Mayo Clinic is the only healthcare organization with two hospitals to achieve this designation. U.S. News continues to rank hospitals numerically within states, and Mayo Clinic again ranks No. 1 in the U.S. News state rankings for Minnesota, Arizona and Florida.
These latest rankings serve as further evidence of Mayo’s strong forward momentum across all activities. This momentum is made possible by the organization’s benefactors, who in 2023 provided more than $1 billion in philanthropic funding for the fifth consecutive year. Mayo has received several transformative gifts in 2024, including recent contributions made to support Mayo Clinic Platform and the President’s Strategic Initiative Fund.
The U.S. News rankings are reflective of Mayo Clinic’s commitment to continuous improvement across the enterprise. Mayo Clinic Health System in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, is recognized as a "Best Regional Hospital" in Northwestern Wisconsin. Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato is recognized as a "Best Regional Hospital" in Southwest Minnesota.
